Giannnis Antetokounmpo will be partaking in his 8th NBA All-Star Game as the NBA Champion and MVP was once again selected as the team captain of the East squad. To celebrate his All-Star birth, Nike has created a special colorway of his signature Nike Zoom Freak 5 which commemorates his and his brother Thanasis’s shared shoe journey in Greece. This offering of the Nike Zoom Freak 5 takes on a two-tone color makeup as White and Red cover the sneaker with the left and right shoe being mismatched. The highlight of this colorway is a handwritten message from Giannis to Thanasis on the collar which reads, “Thanasis thanks for sharing,” recalling the days when they would share shoes. The heels then showcase Thanasis and Giannis’ numbers, 43 and 34, while the red and white mismatched look continues on the midsoles and outsoles.
